Hey everyone,

As promised this quick update is to let you know that the shipments left on time. The US shipment has an ETA at the port of August 23rd, and the UK shipment has an ETA at the port of August 18th. I will keep you posted if those dates change. I will have more information about when fulfilment will start once the shipments are delivered.

Manufacturing is Complete and Freight is Booked!

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the slightly late update this month, I was away on holiday last week and have been waiting for a couple of confirmations from our manufacturing and shipping partners. Here is a run down of where we are in the process:

Manufacturing

Mass production is complete! In fact all of the map books, boxes, GM Screens etc were finished a couple of weeks ago, but during what is known as a 'Drop Test' (where they literally drop the boxes on the floor from multiple heights and angles to make sure there will be no damage during shipping) it was discovered that in some extreme cases the spiral binding of one book left small indents on the cover of the book next to it. To ensure this won't happen, we opted to add a layer of protective card in-between the map books which added a bit of time to the schedule.

Freight

Now that everything is ready to go, the next step is getting it booked onto a ship (or in some cases a van) to transport all of your goodies from the factory to the fulfilment centres. We are pre-booked onto 2 boats that are currently scheduled to leave at the end of next week. One boat is heading to 'Spiral Galaxy' in the UK for all UK and EU orders, and the other is heading to 'QuarterMaster Logistics' in the US for all US and Canada orders (plus 1 order for Mexico). 

For anyone who ordered in Asia, Australia or New Zealand, your shipments are being handled by 'VFI Asia' who are located just down the road from the factory, so they will be picked up in person next week or so.

Estimated  arrival date to the UK is August 8th, and to the US is August 23rd, but these are still very much subject to change and delays do often happen. I will keep you updated with any news as we receive it.

Once they arrive at the ports, they will be picked up by the fulfilment centres. Then within a couple of weeks (depending on how busy their queue is) they should start sending your packages directly to you. Before that happens you will receive an email to confirm your shipping information, so you will still have time to make any address changes you need.

Barring any major delays, all of this still puts us on schedule to deliver ahead of our initial promised delivery date of the end of October. We will continue to do everything we can on our end to get them to you as soon as possible.

Mass Production Has Begun!

Hey Everyone,

Mass production has begun! After receiving all of the samples, we made our decision on a manufacturing partner and hit the go button. We have been advised that manufacturing will take about 45 days, so it should be complete around the end of May/beginning of June. 

After mass production is complete, all of the sets get loaded onto a boat and make their way to the fulfilment centres. This usually takes around 6-8 weeks, so they should arrive around the end of July/beginning of August. From there they enter a queue at the fulfilment centres, and once it is our turn it will take a few days to package and send out all of the orders. The length of the queue entirely depends on what other orders they have in around that time, but we will be ahead of the end of year rush.

This means that barring any major unexpected delays, we should be well on schedule to get all of your battlemap books to you by October as promised. If there are any changes to this schedule I will let you know.

Sample Photos

As promised I have taken some more photos of the samples. These are almost exactly what you will be receiving, we have requested some minor adjustments to the colours on the box art so the details are more distinct.

To give you an idea of scale, these photos were taken on my Kitchen Table which is 5ftx3f.5t, and I had to use a wide angle lens to fit it all in (which is why the photos looks a bit curved). If there are any other pictures or close ups you would like to see, let me know. The colours don't translate perfectly in the photos, but they look fantastic in person.
